YOUTH JUJITSU/MMA (8-12 YEARS OLD)

Youth Jujitsu and Mixed Martial Arts

Age 8 - 12 years old

Anti-Bullying Confidence and Skill-Building Success Begins HERE!

Each Youth age class runs for 45 minutes and is conducted in our fun, safe, and non-threatening dojo atmosphere by one or more of our experienced and versatile instructors.

The youth martial artist at Wright Fight Concepts is educated in the proper application of the martial arts (i.e. not using siblings, buddies, and pets as punching bags!). We teach your child how not to be bullied, as well as how not to be the bully!  To help drive this home, we incorporate our Virtues of the Week program.  Through this, we introduce your child to character-building concepts and ideas with class activities and discussion.  This helps them become the best they can be physically, mentally, and emotionally both on and off the mat.

All of this is done with positive reinforcement and directed motivation, celebrating each personal success while actively encouraging growth and initiative through continually challenging and engaging activity.

Character-Building Mat Chat

This segment of class features discussions from our Virtues of the Week Curriculum.  Courtesy, Perseverance, Growth, Teamwork, and so much more!  This part of class is an essential time spent helping them become the best versions of themselves both mentally and physically.

Junior Leadership Program Exclusive to the Youth Age Group

Additionally, leadership opportunities are made available through our Junior Leadership Program. In this program, students who are 9 years old and up and at least a yellow belt (1 year of experience or more) and who show above average discipline and maturity are invited to help in the Grade School classes as assistants to the instructors, and as team leaders in their own classes.

Each Junior Leader is instructed by Sensei Damien personally in methods of positive leadership, guidance, and encouragement among their peers and younger fellow students. They are also afforded additional and exclusive opportunities for training, to more thoroughly know the class material.

Students in the Junior Leadership Program can be distinguished among their fellow students by the wearing of black pants with their red uniforms.
