Sensei Dan started his martial arts journey at the age of 10 training in Korean hapkido, spent 5 years at Correas Korean Hapkido in New Egypt. Dan then made a transition out of traditional martial arts to wrestling as a freshman in high school. He wrestled all four years of high school. After high school he trained mixed martial arts under the Karate Dojo in Jackson. Dan was trained under the American top team curriculum for two years.

  A formidable martial artist and excellent instructor, now Dan trains actively in both Nagasu Ryu Jujitsu and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, continuing to rank up in both arts respectively. 

  Sensei Dan was awarded his Shodan in Nagasu Ryu Jujitsu on October 14th, 2023.  He bears the sole distinction of having two Judans (10th Degree Black Belts) among his testing committee and certificate signers, those being Grandmaster Michael Burrowes (Headmaster of the Art of Nagasu Ryu) and Grandmaster Alan Simms.
